Honest John’s Chocolate Bitters present floral notes of hibiscus and vanilla, nuanced with smoky dark chocolate, bright citrus, and wild cherry. Paradoxically elegant and earthy, recalling beloved Spanish leather boots all but irrevocably ruined by an unexpected mud season trail clearing predicament on the wily and remote West Tavaputs Plateau. Oaxaca Old Fashioned
1.5 oz. Reposado Tequila
0.5 oz. Mezcal
1 teaspoon Agave Nectar
2 dashes Honest John Chocolate Bitters
1 dash Honest John Sarsaparilla Bitters
Garnish Flamed Orange Zest
Add all ingredients to a rocks glass and stir briefly to combine. Gently add a large ice block or sphere and stir for 20 or so revolutions to chill. Flame a swath of orange zest and drop it into the glass.
